Wakekite @ Boardom Bound |
 This is a board sport that has been in the testing stage for the last several years and was finally available to the public last year. Wakekiting is not as scary as it looks. You hook a kite up to the back of your boat, like a wakeboard rope. There is a handle connected to the kite that you hold. When the boat takes off, the kite immediately launches above you.
The biggest reason this sport came around was for riders to experience that zero gravity affect that produced higher and longer airs than on a wakeboard. Also, landing on the water after launching off the wake is much easier on your body because of the kite. It is recommended one at least know how to wakeboard, but flying the kite isn’t too hard to pick up. In all reality, this new board sport does have an easy learning curve for those who know how to wakeboard. I think this is one sport your gonna wanna try. |
